To say or not too?

Andy is the carbonara king. He makes it better than me!

He also likes ordering it whenever we go out for pasta to see how other people are making it. He normally is dissappointed though so I don't know why he keeps trying it.

Anyway we went out to Cafe Valentino on Columbo Street, Christchurch. It's like they weren't even trying! Their "carbonara" had peas and salami in it. Seriously, I could ask 10 thousand people to describe what carbonara was and not one would mention peas and salami.

Then it's the whole thing of whether to say something or not. The waiters always ask how the meal was and most of the time, even when I am not happy with it I will say it was nice.

Once time I had a scallop dish that was so terrible I told the waitress that the sauce tasted like rancid butter and the scallops were rubbery. She wasn't impressed but it was kinda of fun to tell it like it is.
